MEMAT 2025

On November 29, 2025, the 6th International Academic Conference on Mechanical Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing and Automation Technology (MEMAT2025) concluded successfully in the innovative and dynamic city of Dongguan. This conference was jointly hosted by Dongguan University of Technology and Guangdong University of Technology, attracting over a hundred experts, researchers, and industry engineers from all over the world to gather together and jointly discuss the cutting-edge developments and future trends in the fields of mechanical engineering, intelligent manufacturing, and automation technology.

The opening ceremony of this conference was addressed by Professor David BASSIR, the chairperson of the conference, the head of the Intelligent Structure Health Monitoring and Control Laboratory (SSHMC), and the China-France Association for Science and Technology Exchange, who extended a warm welcome to all the scholars present.

The conference specially invited Vice President Zhang Mingjun from the Joint College of Dongguan University of Technology and the French National Institute of Technology, as well as Researcher Jean Laurent Picard to attend. On the spot, Professor Li Zifu from Guangzhou University, Professor David BASSIR from Dongguan University of Technology, Associate Professor Pavel Loskot from Zhejiang University, and Associate Professor Ata Jahangir Moshayedi from Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, among other domestic and international experts, delivered keynote speeches, sharing their latest research achievements in areas such as intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, medical diagnosis, and system control. These high-level reports were rich in content and novel in perspective, triggering intense discussions among the audience. Many scholars actively participated in the interaction, exchanging ideas freely, and experiencing continuous brainstorms. Among them, Professor Li Zifu from Guangzhou University systematically reviewed the development history of intelligent control over the past fifty years and focused on AI-driven motion control, deeply analyzing how the new generation of artificial intelligence has driven the control paradigm to shift from traditional model-driven to "data and knowledge collaborative-driven" transformation. Through practical cases in the field of robotics, he vividly demonstrated the great potential of AI technology in solving complex motion control problems. Professor David BASSIR from Dongguan University of Technology comprehensively expounded the revolutionary contribution of digital twin models in intelligent manufacturing and quality control. He pointed out that the digital twin, as a dynamic virtual mirror of the physical entity, through integrating sensor data, the Internet of Things, and machine learning algorithms, realizes real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and process optimization of the entire production process. Associate Professor Pavel Loskot from Zhejiang University provided profound theoretical analysis on the modeling and control of multi-input multi-output systems, discussing how to linearize nonlinear models and how to define the optimal observability and controllability for linear MIMO systems, providing a solid mathematical framework for understanding and handling various complex engineering and data processing systems. Ata Jahangir Moshayedi from Jiangxi University of Science and Technology introduced a disruptive lung function screening technology. His research team innovatively utilized the "He" sound signal from the throat and through a machine learning model to non-invasively predict key lung function indicators. This research provides a new method for respiratory disease diagnosis that is not limited by equipment, is fast and convenient, and demonstrates the wide application prospects of interdisciplinary research in the field of medical health.

In addition, young scholars from many domestic and foreign universities and Technology, Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Xiamen University, Jinan University, and Dalian University of Technology shared their innovative research achievements through oral reports and poster presentations. Their research perspectives are unique and their methods are novel, demonstrating the vigorous vitality and innovative spirit of young talents in this field.
